there is nothing about GDPR compliance that's easy lol, which is the same as any cloud provider. unless you run your own servers inside europe, it's gonna be a pain that requires DPAs and the like (which supabase will also sign on an enterprise plan)

from scratch def go supabase. auth and edge functions out of the box make it incredibly easy to build a backend, and it's got an AI assistant integrated along with solid MCP servers for vibe coding tools if you ever hit the point where supabase no longer makes sense at scale, you've got really good problems to have

the way you get better at that is practice, not relying on a crutch
