New to open source, but experienced backend dev — where can I contribute in Supabase?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using Supabase for a while and really like how simple it is to build with.

I want to start contributing, but I’m new to open source contributions specifically. I’m comfortable with Git and general workflows, just haven’t contributed to a large project like this before.

I don’t want to pick random small issues — I’d rather work on something useful and learn properly.

My background is mostly backend (Node.js, TypeScript, Flask), real-time systems, auth flows, and databases.

Would appreciate some direction on:

• Which repo is a good place to start
• Areas that actually need contributions right now
• Beginner-friendly issues that are still meaningful

Happy to spend time understanding the codebase if pointed in the right direction.
